Same stupidly annoying sound issues here. They've been happening since one of the patches on SiSi. It worked for a bit, then got patched again to not work.
And your 5.1 only assumption is wrong.
Creative X-Fi Platinum & Logitech Z5500 5.1 speakers.

Mine as well. Everyone is always like "eve has sound?", but for those of us who enjoyed playing with eve's sound effects and music going, this really sucks.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Weeks have gone buy and they've barely even acknowledged this. Not a Dev response one in here. Nothing. Bug reports are basically being ignored. Etc... I bet when the EVE user-base starts dropping like flies because everyone is getting as ****ed as I am, they'll get this **** fixed. If another week goes by and this audio crap still isn't fixed, I think I may just cancel my subscription to EVE. I'm not going to pay monthly for a game I'm not playing.

What makes this even better (besides all the other reasons) is that petition messages have been posted in this thread and they haven't been removed and no warnings issued. They aren't even reading or monitoring this thread XD I think we should all send in the exact same bug report with the same title and each of us creates a new thread in this forum about sound issues. They can't keep ignoring us and giving us BS answers like this... Update your drivers... wtf?
